AltioLive Studio

This is the full suite of Altio development tools, including an IDE and an XML database for prototyping use, and AltioLive Presentation Server.

AltioLive APS

This is the deployment environment for Altio applications, and includes the AltioLive Presentation Server but does not include any of the tools found in Studio.

You must also download a licence file for each product that you download. The free licence entitles you to the following features:

• Installation of AltioLive a single machine
• A single developer to develop AltioLive applications using the IDE
• Up to 10 concurrent users of your AltioLive applications

If you require a licence that permits more concurrent users and/or developers, or allows a clustered server deployment then please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a full licence.

How to install AltioLive

1. Download the relevant AltioLive installer.
2. Download the relevant AltioLive license and save it (it can be saved anywhere, since the installer will ask you to browse to it when it needs to be imported).
3. Run the installer and follow the instructions to install AltioLive.
4. For AltioLive APS: Once the AltioLive APS installer has completed, deploy the WAR file (found in "\warfile") to your Application server.

How to install AltioLive using a standalone WAR file

Please note: You cannot use 5.3 WAR files within an AltioLive 5.2 installation.

The standalone AltioLive WAR files can be deployed to your Servlet container (Tomcat, WebLogic etc). AltioLive 5.3 Studio installation is bundled with Tomcat.

1. Download the relevant standalone War file from the Altio website.
2. Either drop the WAR file into the "webapps" folder of your container or deploy the WAR file to your Application server.
3. To connect to the newly installed version of AltioLive, use a URL as: http://servername:serverport/name_of_the_WARfile.
   For example if the war file is called altio53Studio.war, the URL to use will be: http://myservername:myserverport/altio53Studio.
