Mantas i-Flex

AML Network Visualization Application

AML Network Visualization Application DiagramMantas required an advanced network visualisation application for the tracking of cash movements. This provided a graphic representation of data relationships in the form of nodes and the strength and weight of the relationships.

Mantas compliance users were then able to dynamically interact with the visual data components through drill-down features and popup windows.  The created data network could be expanded and contracted dynamically according to relationships and movement tracking.  Furthermore, a facility was provided to represent identified nodes and relationships as a formulated row and column format or as a chart, which could be exported to external data sources.

The solution to this problem is provided through the use of AltioLive and the AltioGraph component (patent pending), which provides a rich user interface in the browser. Altio professional services developed a server-side component to analyse complex data structures and provide the required metadata to generate a graph of nodes and relationships within the AltioLive user interface.

AML e-filer

e-filer ScreenshotAnti-money laundering solutions such as Mantas are a relatively new market in banking.

In many countries around the world, governments have specialised bodies that monitor fraudulent banking and potential terrorist-financing activities. These require banks, by law, to send suspicious transaction reports to the government body.

Until now, banks have had to manually construct these reports and send them to the government institutions. But since banks use Mantas to automatically detect suspicious account activities, most of this data is already available, just not in the format the government body requires.

eFiler allows banks to:

  1. Import suspicious activity details detected by Mantas
  2. Augment, review and approve this data
  3. Attach supporting files to the report
  4. View status of these reports
  5. Generate and download reports in government-compliant format
